Laureus Sport For Good Nottingham

We are excited to announce a new £150,000 Sport England project in partnership with Laureus Sport for Good, University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham College and Epic Partners. The project will see all partners develop a new programme to support young people in primary and secondary schools facing disadvantage. Over the three year project we will use sport to support pupils to build life skills, create and deliver social action projects and support their transition from primary to secondary schools.

The sport and life curriculum will be delivered at the end of a school day.

Through this project the children will also have the opportunity to run their own projects, supported by the volunteers in their local community, and more importantly projects which are personal to them. This could be a school fun day, or even clearing up the local park.

Training for the programme will be on:
11th June 9.30-5pm,
12th June 9.30-5pm,
13th June 9.30-5pm

A pilot session for the project will be delivered in schools on the 27th June at 9am.

Please note that we do understand that it will be difficult to attend all of the training due to other commitments but ask you try to attend as much as possible.

Dates to be finalized but the project will begin in October and there will be 3 blocks of 6 week sessions throughout the year around Nottingham. Delivery will be flexible and will work around your studies.

Key responsibilities will include:
Planning sessions
Session Delivery
